Speculum Carmelitanum

The Speculum Carmelitanum is a history of the Carmelite Order. It was written by Daniel a Virgine Maria, a Carmelite whose dates are 1615-1678. It was originally published: Antverpiae [Antwerp] : typis Michaelis Knobbari, 1680; under title: Speculum Carmelitanum : sive, historia Eliani Ordinis Fratrum Beatissimae Virginis Mariae de Monte Carmelo. It was digitized by Crowley Co., 5111 Pegasus Ct, Frederick, MD 21704, and is available on 3 CD-ROMs from the Carmelite Library at Whitefriars Hall in Washington D.C.

Carmelitana Collection

The Carmelitana Collection is a private library belonging to the Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary and is located at Whitefriars Hall in Washington, D.C. The library's holdings include resources by and about Carmelites, especially the following: John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Therese de Lisieau.
